The Friends of the Crete Public Library are honored to designate the Children's Reading Garden at the Crete Public Library in memory of our dear friend and colleague, Ann Howard, who passed away on December 19th, 2023. 

Ann served as a member of the Friends of the Crete Public Library for 40 years and was its President for 37 years. During that time, she contributed her enthusiasm, commitment, and advocacy to initiatives that made an indelible impact on our community, including the construction of the new library building. Library staff and Friends of the Crete Public Library will miss her greatly.
